Research Work


Major areas of research activities of the Centre are:

� development of new technologies for medical rehabilitation, including after state-of-art surgery and after conservative treatment;

� development of unified approaches that can be used for rehabilitation od patient with different types of pathologies (e. g. neoplasma, nervous system, osteomuscular system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system pathologies);

� development of organisational approaches that can be introduced for rehabilitation of patients in different healthcare institutions;

� development of new technologies for medical assessment of disability;

� development of technologies for occupation-related health assessment of the disabled people and their occupational rehabilitation;

� assessment of the working conditions for particular professions and jobs, including work load and environment, to formulate indications and contraindications for employment of the disabled people;

� development of guidelines for occupational training of the disabled people, including those of young age;

� development of computerised systems and software for assessment of rehabilitation potential;

� epidemiological monitoring of temporary and permanent disability situation in different regions and on the national level to formulate meausures aimed to reduce disability related economic losses of the country.
